Motorola Foundation Pledges Financial Support for Pakistan Flood Relief

In response to the in Pakistan, the has donated US$50,000 to CARE (www.care.org) and pledged an additional US$50,000 to match Motorola employee donations to CARE.

Other than the donation from Motorola Foundation, employees in Pakistan have also contributed meaningfully towards relief activities for . Motorola Pakistan has supplied food and other staple items including medicines worth US$14,600 through rescue teams in different areas of Punjab and Khayber Pakhtunkhwa provinces.

Earlier this year, the Motorola Foundation provided a US$100,000 grant to CARE to support the Community-Based Education for Girls Project in Pakistan. The project will expand access to quality education for girls in rural northwest Pakistan.
