Warid Supports National Polio Immunization Drive

Warid Telecom (Pvt.) Ltd, socially responsible corporate citizen in its efforts to make Pakistan a polio free country once again supports National Polio Immunization Drive by running an awareness campaign. To eradicate polio from the country, Rotary Club members in Pakistan started a National Polio Immunization Drive all over the country from 12^th to 14^th July, 2010.  Warid broadcasted an awareness text message notifying its subscribers about national immunization drive. Nearly 34 million children less than 5 years of age were immunized in the 3-day campaign. Over 86,000 teams administered Anti-Polio drops to the children countrywide.  Rotary International is actively involved in eradicating Polio from the world. Most nations are Polio free today, except for 4 polio endemic countries, namely Nigeria, India, Afghanistan & Pakistan. Warid Telecom is doing its part with this earnest desire that soon our country will become Polio free.
